Lip blush tattoos have quickly become the preferred choice for individuals looking to subtly yet effectively enhance their lip appearance. This procedure's ability to define lip contours, correct asymmetry, and impart a youthful glow has made it a popular beauty trend, attracting more and more clients. Why would this service be good for you? Dull lips, hyperpigmentation, asymmetrical shape, tired of applying your favorite lip shade constantly? Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization can be the perfect answer!

Now What Is Lip Blush?

Don’t let the idea that your lips are too thin or even age deter you from getting lip blush. Lip Blush is the technique that involves tattooing semi-permanent pigment into the lips to enhance their natural color, shape, and definition. Unlike traditional lip tattooing, which often creates a solid and defined line, lip blush aims to create a soft, subtle tint that mimics the look of naturally tinted lips. This technique can be used to add color to pale or uneven lips, define the lip line, and create a more youthful and fuller appearance. Lip blush typically lasts longer than traditional lipstick but is not permanent, requiring periodic touch-ups to maintain the desired look.

 Benefits of Lip Blush Tattoos

Let’s clarify one major misconception about lip blush. Lip Blush doesn’t only look good on people with lip filler or fuller lips. It looks good on all ages, all sizes, and lip shapes. Lip Blush is not only for aesthetic purposes it is great for people that have imperfections in the consistency in their lip shades. Lip Blush can help a lot of these imperfections or if you just want the perfect shaded lips 24/7. There are 2 main types of Lip Blush techniques that can benefit your lips. Lip Neutralization is a technique that helps neutralize the hyperpigmentation around the lip area. Lip Blush is the technique of depositing pigment into the lips to create a natural pigment. Let’s break it down.

Lip Neutralization

Lip neutralization is a cosmetic tattooing procedure designed to even out the natural color of your lips. This technique is particularly beneficial for those with hyperpigmentation, uneven lip tones, or those seeking a more balanced and uniform lip color. Unlike traditional lip tattoos that focus on adding bold colors, lip neutralization aims to create a natural, subtle, and even base. Many people have naturally uneven lip colors due to various factors such as genetics, sun exposure, hormonal changes, or scarring. Lip neutralization helps in correcting hyperpigmentation, evening out skin tone, and enhancing your natural beauty.

Lip Blush

Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that enhances the natural color and shape of your lips. Lip blush aims for a soft, natural-looking tint that mimics the appearance of flushed, healthy lips. This treatment can give your lips a fuller, more defined look without the need for daily makeup. Lip Blush is for all ages and helps with asymmetry and dull lips. If you're someone who constantly is applying lip tint for a pop of color Lip blush could be the perfect solution. Down below are two pictures depicting lip blush on fuller lips and thinner lips to show you it is for everyone.

Before & After Care

The before care is pretty simple and nothing to be super concerned about. If you enjoy lip filler or lip flips make sure to plan according to allow your lips the proper time to heal before your appointment. If you are prone to cold sores be sure to monitor the area and contact your artist if you have an outbreak. Make sure to check out our before you book section on our website for a more in-depth list of before-care necessities.

Aftercare is where things can become more tedious. NO KISSING! I mean it! Not a single smooch! Not forever but for the first 3 days it's important to not smooch anything or anyone. 3 days is typically how long it takes but wait for any lip-to-lip contact until the skin on your lips is fully healed. Day 1 use sterile water & cotton gauze to wipe the affected area. Keep your lips moist at all times with a healing lip balm at Eclipse we will provide you with one in your aftercare kit. If you leave your appointment feeling like your lips are very bold don't stress your lips will fade once the healing process takes place and will lighten in appearance. Like any tattoo don't pick at your lips or any scabs that happen let them fall off naturally. Also, be careful when drinking and eating no spicy foods for the first couple of days, and be sure to use straws when drinking liquids.

The Procedure

The procedure of getting your lip tattooed is very similar to most Pmu procedures. First, you will meet with your artist and discuss your goals with this procedure and then you will be numbed. After the numbing takes place your artist will map out the shape of your lips while discussing your shaping goals. Pigment options depend on which procedure you are getting and your artist will explain what is best for you based on the outcome you desire. After the mapping, your artist will begin the process of your tattooing.
